The online casino world will get bigger and bigger but will it really get bigger or even get off the ground in the United States? There is so much speculation and a lot of media coverage over whether or not legalized online gambling is going to be a reality or is this just some hype that the Department of Justice has decided they would throw at everyone.
Nevada has already set their rules and regulations a day before the DOJ gave their now famous opinion on the matter but will it really mean anything in the long run? These questions and others are very hard to answer right now because the word is still new. These rules and opinions only came out right before Christmas, although the DOJ opinion is actually said to have been given in September.
Regardless of who said what first or completed some task first there is a lot that has to happen before this is going to be a reality for the millions of people who are wagering online every day anyway. It really does make sense to bring that money back to the states.
There are so many people who are living under the impression that since online gambling is not really legal in the USA that it is not happening. The truth is that billions of dollars are leaving America through online gambling and people only have the government to blame. Whether or not people will gamble at American based casinos online is going to depend upon how competitive the market is.
The off-shore casinos normally offer players great incentives and if the U.S. based operations do not then you can bet that people will still take their money offshore. This is simple cause and effect. People will spend their money where they are most appreciated. It is all about competition and whether or not the legal aspects will truly allow these ventures or not.
There really is a lot that needs to be done before any gambler will ever see this happen.
… I don’t think that gambling will be allowed in the United States online because there will be less control and we all know that the American government is more about control than freedom.
freedom to gamble online never should have been taken away in the states in the first place so this is going to be really interesting to see what happens.
